After the successful completion of her MFA in Theatre (Set Design) at UBC, Vancouver. Rachel has returned to London, England, to pursue her career as scenographer/designer/artist. Rachel has just completed her MA in Scenography at Laban, where Anita and Rachel met to form the creative team Wadsworth & Stanners, collaborating to create recent works Site Lines and Collectanea.

Danielle Walker BA (Hons) Choreographer / Performer

After completing her A levels in Newcastle Danielle moved to London in 2003 to become an apprentice with Springs Dance Company, which then led to a further year training at Lewisham College. Before this she had been involved in  community dance group Beyond the Barricades and teaching dance with More than Dance.

 Danielle has just completed a BA (hons) Dance Theatre at the Laban Centre.

 

Enid Gill Performer

After graduating from London Contemporary Dance School, Enid worked as a free-lance dance artist in the UK and Belgium. A practitioner of ‘L’Art du Chi’ method of Tai Ji Quan for over 10 yrs, she now teaches this method and is entering her final year of Goldsmith’s Masters in Dance Movement Therapy.

 

Hannah Varty Composer www.hannahvarty.com

 Hannah is a Composer and Saxophonist based in London. Hannah gained her Bachelor of Music at the University of Birmingham where she graduated in 2006 with a first in composition. Subsequently Hannah is studying at Trinity College of Music, working for her MMus. She has previously studied with Vic Hoyland and Errollyn Wallen and is currently working with Deirdre Gribbin. Hannah had her piece Edges of Slumber performed and recorded by Birmingham Contemporary Music Group and it was also runner up in the COMPASS prize at the University of Birmingham. Recently Hannah won the John Halford Composition Prize for Piano at Trinity College of Music with her piece Not Present. Hannah has worked on a number of collaborative projects with choreographers, exploring the way that dance and music can be integrated. Cel,Hannah’s debut piece for dance, was written for solo cello and investigated the concept of the musician as part of the movement .

Joanne Lyons BA (Hons/Cantab) PGCDC
Dancer / Community Dance Artist

Her childhood spent partly in Sheffield, partly in The Netherlands, Jo returned to the UK in 1999 to study Dutch and German at Cambridge University. During her studies Jo was involved in a number of theatre productions, including co-directing a childrens' play for the National Youth Theatre Festival in 2003.

After graduating, Jo trained as an apprentice with Springs Dance Company before embarking on her studies for the Postgraduate Certificate: Dance in Community from The Laban Centre in London. Alongside her studies at Laban, Jo worked as project coordinator of IMPACT - a dance and science project funded by The Wellcome Trust and delivered by Angika Dance and Croydon Council Arts Development.

In the past couple of years, Jo has worked as choreographer on a number of community youth arts productions in South Croydon and now teaches dance at various schools in the Croydon region.

 

Seraina Dejaco MA Choreographer/Performer
Seraina Dejaco is a performer / dancer /
choreographer. After graduating from Laban
she founded the DEJACOmpanie with Jessica
Huber and was also co-artistic director and
dancer of the collaborations tanztheater
daisy taff and recently cie. Tand. Touring
Switzerland with all three companies. Whilst
working with Daghdha Dance Company in Ireland
she also created and showed her own work.
Over the last few years she has begun creating
works with groups of people from various
backgrounds, and has just completed her MA in
Choreography at Laban.
